Isaque (7 out of 10 ) The story could be better with deeper characters. The ending was epic, and this wasn't supposed to be an epic movie. The characters had gone through their parent's deaths pretty quickly. Even so, nice movie.
David (9 out of 10 ) Well, this is a two and half hour movie, and it has only a hour of disasters and CGI. The rest it's about the characters, so what more deep you want them to be?
Volnei (4 out of 10 ) It's one those pretentious films that claim to be epic, but, in fact, it's just entertainment of second class and, besides, it's too long. As for the political commitment it's just the usual: north-americans lead the rest of the world towards their salvation, but they're good guys and bla bla bla.
Pontus (8 out of 10 ) I like the movie most because of the CGI, I think the acting is terrible, it could be a lot better, but yes I know its a hard movie to be an actor on, because almost every thing is filmed behind "green screen" which isn't easy for the actors to imagen how it would look like if the ground starts to crack under you and fall into a bottom less hole. But again it could be better! I agree with Isaque, it could be a more deeper story with the characters, and more emotional between them, for example when Gordon dies a painful death between the gear wheels, the kids and his wife's reaction was like- ehh, what ever. And they lived happy the rest of their life. Which was very strange but otherwise great movie.
peter (8 out of 10 ) 2012 is currently running on cable and I've watched it a couple of times. I like it. It is classic genre of its style and follows the well worn path of its predecessors, including independence day. As mentioned above, in regards to cgi, I thought it was used sparingly, I certainly didn't find it over the top, and as an end of the world film, the special effects were very good. Seeing California slide into the pacific was just something else. I liked the story and the characters were real enough.
Ryan (10 out of 10 ) Man this movie was the best. Screw all you peolpe who said it sucked, especally you, Volnei. Your the most hated and I now people who'd do things to you. It's not assulting you, but this is my favorite movie of all time. Whoever gave it a 5 or below F***Y**. Your all just hating because your not a movie director and you can't be saying it sucked. Oh and all you retards who say the world's going to end, your all little dicks. The world's not going to end in 2012. That's all I gato to say. Volnei "Yo mom and a doornob are much alike, everyone gets a turn.".
Worders (1 out of 10 ) Literally terrible! So many holes and ridiculousness it was impossible to watch without laughing out loud. Hey Ryan, open a window. Maybe get a girlfriend or a hobby or something.
sam (9 out of 10 ) A goodish film, fantastic cgi, but like most of rolands films, there has been an unseen family squabble, and they all rely on each other to live- soppy! Brilliant cgi, and some comedy in there as well 'hold onto those eggs, dear!' (the old dears in the california destruction scene.).
Troy (7 out of 10 ) 2012 was a well-rounded film. It was a good mix of action, dialogue, and character interaction. In terms of apocalyptic films, The Day After Tomorrow is my personal favorite. I think 2012 was a bit over the top at times as far as disasters were presented, but overall it was a compelling film. Potentially satisfactory to all of those whom believed in the 2012 revelations that the world would come to an end.
